Laboratory Halal Testing
WHC offers Halal testing and verification services with the latest testing technology to ensure the integrity and protect consumers from ingredients or production methods that do not meet Halal standards.
Our latest development is a highly efficient DNA extraction method combined with a sensitive real-time PCR assay where we provide both qualitative and quantitative Halal testing options. With this method, we are able to detect as little as 0.01% (w/w) of pork. The tests work on the principle of pork species identification and preservation, where all ingredients can be traced back to their source to maintain integrity, making its Halal certification more credible. The protocol of analyses that we deploy is accredited under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 ensuring accuracy, integrity and reliability of results.
Furthermore we can also offer service to help detect non-halal ingredients in cosmetics and personal care products to ensure that these products are free of pork fat and its derivatives.
